about the festival
AnimaQUEER is a queer-themed animation short film festival. That is, only animated shorts will be presented whose narrative revolves around sexual diversity, with LGBTQIAPN+ main characters, or with stories that revolve around their sexuality.
Our
goal
The festival arises from the need to give visibility to animations that depart from heteronormative standards, since there is a great taboo in the world of animation regarding Queer characters. In this way, we create a space for these animations to be seen and celebrated.
